Communication with the firm
An enquiry by the contact form, phone, email or WhatsApp does not create a lawyer-client relationship. The firm acts for a client only once both sides have signed an engagement letter.
Once you are a client, email is the official channel for instructions and documents. WhatsApp is used only to arrange calls and meetings, and we do not treat a WhatsApp message as an instruction.
General principles of an engagement
Each engagement is governed by its own signed engagement letter. The principles below apply unless that letter says otherwise.
- The firm works with due diligence, in accordance with Egyptian law and the Advocacy Law No. 17 of 1983. Its duty is to act with care. It does not undertake to achieve a specific result, because courts and other authorities decide the outcome.
- The client provides the documents and information the matter needs, complete and in good time. Delays or gaps on the client's side may affect the work and its timing.
- Fees are agreed in writing for each matter before the work starts.
- The firm keeps client information confidential, in line with its professional duties and the law.
- Matters handled through the Kuwait or Dubai office may also be subject to local rules, as set out in the engagement letter.
